Weslee

My son, Weslee, is a child in an adult's body. He is high functioning autistic with uncontrolled epilepsy (seizures), OCD, ADHD and a host of other problems, including partial blindness. He had two-step brain surgery in 2013 which helped the seizures for a while.

And he had another surgery on May 1 2019 but it went so wrong that he had to have another 6 surgeries (some major, some minor) in the 16 days following.  All told, he was in the hospital and then the inpatient neuro rehab for 35 days.

You can read more about him in my book, "Epilepsy - One Mother's Perspective".

Note on July 9 2019 - I just started working on this page so be sure to check back from time to time.

Oct 21 2015 - He's been so obsessed with "Back to the Future" day that he's made sure to wear his pockets inside out, and wear my colander on his head (I wouldn't let him put on the fly swatter!) Isn't my fella adorable? He is my reason for living.
